Take the Indians Volunteer Challenge

…And Earn Two Free Game Tickets

228,000 hours of volunteer service and counting – That’s the number of hours that the Cleveland Indians and BVU helped inspire nearly 35,000 volunteers to perform for NE  Ohio non-profit organizations. These seemingly super human efforts have resulted in $5.17 million worth ofvolunteer service.

And now in 2016, they are back at it again.

If you take the Indians Volunteer Challenge and volunteer four hours of service any time between April 11 and August 31, the Indians will reward those efforts with two free upper deck tickets to a select home game.

“We remain committed to our community,’ said Indians Executive Director of Community Impact Rebecca Kodysh, “and through the Indians Volunteer Challenge, our organization and BVU are able to positively impact our region through the many outstanding local nonprofits in the Cleveland area.”

Here’s How To Register

To register for the challenger, volunteers will need to head on over to BVUvolunteers.org. If you need help deciding on the type of volunteer activity that best suits you, we recommend taking their Volunteer Personality Quiz.

The volunteering must be done through BVU projects and fans must log their hours to prove they volunteered.

#ServiceWithSlider

SliderNew this year to the challenge is #ServiceWithSlider. Slider is getting into the action by volunteering and making special appearances at volunteer events all summer long.

To get into the action, volunteers are encouraged to cut out this image of Slider, and share pictures and photos during their volunteer activities.  Of course, don’t forget to use the hashtag #ServiceWithSlider to be entered for in a chance to participate as an Indians #TribeLive fan of the game September 22 at Progressive Field.

Do You have What it takes to be named the “Indians Volunteer of the Year”!

Four hours of volunteer service is a tremendous gift. But, the Indians and BVU want to also reward the volunteer who goes a little further. This year, the volunteer who has logged the most hours through BVU’s Volunteer Center by August 31 will be name the “Indians Volunteer of the Year.” The winner will be honored on September 22nd at a special on-field pregame ceremony. The winner will also receive complimentary Field Box tickets and have the opportunity to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch before the game that evening!
